We are often asked questions relating to our Controlled Drugs Cabinets.

As questions come through to us we will post the most frequently asked, along with our reply, here.

Orders are processed on the same or following working day from the order being received dependant upon what time it was received by us. Stock cabinets are dispatched on the same day if ordered before 11am or the following day if after 11am. From the order being dispatched delivery usually takes 48 hours to reach you (mainland UK).

How will my item be delivered?

How much are delivery charges?

Delivery charges are included in the prices stated on our web site to the mainland UK.

Can I order extra shelves?

Additional shelves are available at additional cost, typically £15.00 plus VAT and carriage.

I need a floor fixing cabinet.

CDC905 + 906 cabinets are floor fixing. If you require floor fixing in any other type please let us know and we will be able to accommodate your request but it may take a little longer to dispatch.

How do I fix the cabinet to the wall?

Full instructions are provided with the cabinet together with fixing bolts. There is also a page giving advice about fixing recommendations for controlled drugs cabinets.

Or you can give us a call on 01623 559966 and we'll be happy to help.

Does the cabinet come with fixing bolts?

Sleeve anchors are provided with the cabinet to allow fixing into brick or concrete.

How may sets of keys will I receive?

Each mortice lock has two keys, and our new Euro Profile cylinder comes complete with three. Some cabinets have two locks, dependant upon size of cabinet. All locks are keyed differently.

What's the difference between your mortice lock and euro profile locks?

Both locks conform to the required British standard, however we are changing our locks to the new euro profile cylinder as they are easier to use and future proof. This is because they are compatible with new electronic key systems, such as the CLIQ system, becoming rapidly adopted by hospitals. Please take note when ordering your cabinet of which lock it s currently supplied with. We can fit the new lock to any cabinet, however if it is not yet the standard lock, there will be an increase in delivery times.
