As Pharmacy Medical grows as the UK’s leading manufacturer of Controlled Drugs cabinets, and as a business, it has become increasingly important to protect our interests.

To ensure that you buy your Controlled Drugs Cabinets from us, and not someone pretending to be us, we have registered our trademark to ensure that our logo can only be affiliated with us, therefore when you buy from us, you know you are buying from the best.

Registering a trademark isn’t a simple and easy process, and we had to fight to get it passed, however now it is done it has been worth the effort. Pharmacy Medical is now a registered trade mark in class 10 and class 20:

Class 10 is described as “Nurses’ trolleys adapted to contain drugs for dispensing to patients;Special furniture for medical use.”

whilst class 20 is “Bedside cabinets;Bedside lockers;Cabinets (medicine-);Cabinets (Medicine -);Medicine cabinets;Medicine chests;Metal cabinets;Metal cabinets for industrial use;Metal cabinets [furniture];Metal drawers [parts of furniture];Metal furniture;Metal storage cabinets;Security cabinets;Security cabinets [furniture];Security units [furniture] of metal;Trolleys [furniture].”

These two categories cover the majority of the products that we manufacture currently.

The application process has taken around four months and the application process is relatively simple, however deciding which class to categorise your business can be difficult. When applying for a registered trademark, there are two avenues you can go down, either pay a lower fee at the start of the process, or pay a higher fee, but only pay half if your application is refused. We would advise taking the latter if you are unsure about your application, it may be slightly more costly in the long term, however is significantly cheaper should your application be refused.

All we can say is Thank You

As the end of 2014 draws to an end, we wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone who has supported us through the past 12 months.

2014 has been a big year for us at Pharmacy Medical seeing a wealth of new products added to our catalogue. From hospital furniture through to pharmacy supplies and equipment, Pharmacy Medical has become a one stop solution for pharmacy dispensing and hospital furniture.

Over 2014 we have been fortunate enough to attend several shows and events allowing us to meet a wealth of new people and demonstrate our company to entire new markets.

Throughout the past year we have learned a lot, we have developed our products and now are confident that we can offer market leading solutions, with revolutionary technology, and get them delivered to your door the next day! (or, occasionally the same day, depending on delivery routes and order times).

We continue to strive to offer bespoke solutions to hospital and pharmacy requirements, and still maintain good stock levels of our controlled drugs cabinets and medicine cabinets. As a result you don’t have to wait, even on our large controlled drugs cabinets. If you order a controlled drugs cabinet from us before 11AM, we will dispatch it the same day on a 24-48 hour delivery service (if we are occasionally out of stock, which is not very often, delivery can slip to 1-2 weeks).

To end we just want to extend a huge thank you to all our loyal customers, public and trade, for your continued support and guidance.

We will be closing our doors for the festive season on the 19th December 2014 at 3.30pm, and will be re opening on Monday the 5th January 2015 at 8am. If you need your order before we close, please make sure you order before the 15th December.

Pharmacy Medical will be at Patient First 2014 at London’s ExCel centre in the heart of the Docklands.

The Patient First Show 2014

Patient First is a new event aimed specifically at improving patient safety across the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.

As the single biggest issue – Patient safety is simply too important to ignore, and certainly too important to be made available just for the privileged few who can afford to attend.

Pharmacy Medical will be at the Patient First show at London’s ExCel centre from 26th – 27th November 2014.

On the back of the success at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress earlier in 2014, PharmacyMedical have decided to exhibit at the Patient First show. The Patient First show is aimed at emphasising the importance of patient care within the care industry, and PharmacyMedical will be there launching a range of new products focused towards this topic.

For the first time, PharmacyMedical will be previewing to the public their new Bedside Cabinets. These cabinets have been designed to offer higher levels of drug and medicine safety within hospitals, whilst offering increased levels security to patients own belongings. This security has been combined with affordable pricing, excellent design safety, user features and infection control friendly design and construction. The powder coated metal construction of the cabinets provides a stronger and more secure stroage location compared to wood, and allows the product to be steam cleaned. The metal construction also allows PharmacyMedical to customise the design quickly to meet our customers specific needs, offering a considerable more flexible and robust design compared to plastic.
