Controlled drugs cabinet manufacture facilities

We operate a continued process of improvement in our design and production of our Controlled drugs cabinet manufacture methods. The recent introduction of new sizes and ranges of both Controlled drugs cabinets and Medicine cabinets necessitates a more modern and streamlined Controlled drugs cabinet manufacture system. To this end we have recently taken delivery of and installed two state of the art Press brake machines with fully programmable systems.

The new systems installed on these machines allow pre-programming of all the various bend permutations associated with the numerous different cabinet types we manufacture. For instance a  CDC 101s Controlled Drugs Cabinet 480mm H x 560mm W x 160mm D requires different bend sizes to  for example a MED-300 Medicine Cabinet  900mm H X 600mm W X 300mm D. With the systems available to us with these new machines the particular bend sizes peculiar to each product type is programmed in just the once and recorded. Therefor when the next batch of Controlled drugs cabinet manufacture is undertaken of a particular cabinet type these specific details are presented to the operator. When the part number is input the machine will move the back stop to the correct position for the first bend, automatically calculate the required bending pressure for that bend and wait for the operator to action the process. Once that bend has been carried out the machine will set its self-up for the second and any subsequent operations in the sequence. This helps reduce operator error and ensures with the use of the correct bending tonnage, the machine is not overstressed and damaged.

These machines were installed during 2014 and have proved to be a very valuable addition to our Controlled drugs cabinet manufacture method.

This Controlled drugs cabinet  is 1750mm High x 760mm Wide  x 305mm deep and is manufactured with the large Prescriber in mind. It is a popular cabinet  with Wholesale distributors and large Pharmacy s alike . The  CDC104 Controlled drugs cabinet has one large door for easy access to the Controlled drugs stored within. It has two 6 Pin Euro-profile cylinder locks and four adjustable and removable shelves. Additional shelves can be purchased if more shelving is required. The CDC104 Controlled drugs cabinet is now available with  CLIQ compatible locks.

Our Controlled drugs cabinets are supplied with locks that have “keys to differ” i.e. both locks have differing keys.  We can supply cabinets with “keys alike” however there will be a small charge for this option.  The cabinet weighs approximately 76 Kg and has an approximate capacity of 406 litres. Like all our range of Controlled drugs cabinets it comes complete with four sleeve anchors and full fitting instructions provided. Due to the size and weight of this cabinet we strongly advise it is fitted by two people and that they are competent in this type of work. This Controlled drugs cabinets is wall fitting. Whilst we can modify most of our Controlled drugs cabinets to be wall fix or floor fix. Due to the height and small base surface area this CDC104 Controlled drugs cabinet is unsuitable for floor fixing. If your circumstances prohibit wall fix please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss an alternative method of fixing where possible.
