Critical Care Unit Refurbishment

Drugs Cabinets and HTM71 for the Royal Preston Hospital

Pharmacy Medical were approached by the Royal Preston Hospital, part of the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust early in 2020. They were asked to help them challenge the trust standard supplier and manufacture controlled drugs cabinets, medicine cabinets, medicine tower units and HTM71 cabinet systems for their critical care unit refurbishment and new build. We were more than happy to help.

Product Range

Pharmacy Medicals continually growing range of products is allowing us to offer a more attractive package to hospitals and the NHS. The original enquiry from Royal Preston was mainly for Controlled Drugs cabinets, however by the time we had delivered to them we had made medicine cabinets, base and tower units, HTM71 cabinets, CoSHH cabinets as well as Controlled Drugs Cabinets. Our range of industry standard sizes ensures that the products we supply will fit in with architects plans and out short lead times and attractive pricing means we will often deliver quicker than most and offer a cost saving too.

The Process

From initial enquiry, we conducted a site visit to get a better feel for what the hospital required. At this time we were able to go through the building plans and document exactly what cabinets were required for where.

From this a quotation was prepared.
